A talk on strengthening food safety and disease prevention in schools

Pursuant to Official Letter No. 1658/BGDDT-CTHSSV dated April 9, 2015 of the Ministry of Education and Training on strengthening food safety assurance and food poisoning prevention at educational and training institutions; Pursuant to Plan No. 86/KH-ĐHĐL signed by the Rector of Da Lat University on May 7, 2015 on organizing a thematic talk on strengthening food hygiene and safety, and preventing epidemics in schools. .

To promote propaganda, education and awareness raising for students; strengthen food safety assurance, strictly implement the legal provisions on food safety, ensure the health of staff and students; On May 20, 2015 at the Library Hall, Da Lat University cooperated with the Preventive Medicine Team of Da Lat city to organize a “Talk about strengthening food safety, preventing epidemic illness in school”.

Attending the talk: on the side of the guests (also two reporters) from the Preventive Medicine Team of Da Lat city, there were Dr. Trinh Dang Tuan and Dr. Tran Thi Dung. On the side of the University, there are representatives of the school’s leaders, leaders of faculties, student assistants of the faculties, teachers, teachers and more than 500 students.

In the morning, at 8 am, after the opening speech of MSc. Hoang Duc Lam – Member of the Party Committee, Chairman of the University’s Trade Union, Head of Student Affairs Department, students including the faculties: Mathematics-Informatics, Law, Chemistry, Biology, Management – Tourism, Engineering Information Technology, Pedagogy, Physics, Nuclear Engineering listened to two reporters from the Preventive Medicine Team of Da Lat city to provide extremely useful knowledge on food hygiene and safety, disease prevention in schools as well as basic knowledge about tuberculosis, influenza H1N1, H5N1, H7N9, HIV and leprosy.

In the afternoon, the two doctors continued to teach students of the faculties: Foreign Languages, Agriculture, Forestry, Environment & Natural Resources, Economics and Business Administration, Social Work, History, International Studies, Literature and Culture Studies.
